What Is the Fortnite Pirate Shop?
Last checked: Nov 4, 2026
The Pirate Shop is the in-game Item Shop experience available after Pirate Shop Access is activated. It lets players claim most eligible shop items for free during a 14-day period. The shop still rotates, so check the live offers and the in-game eligibility shown for each item.
Quick answer
Find the reward from a Treasure Hunters chest, activate it through PLUNDER THE SHOP in the Item Shop, and claim eligible offers while the 14-day window is active. The current game screen is the guide to what is available.
How the 14-day window works
Pirate Shop Access is activated from the in-game Item Shop. The free-claim period begins after activation and lasts 14 days. The banner is labeled PLUNDER THE SHOP and appears at the lower left when access is available. Read the game prompt before you confirm so you know what the current client says about your access.
Finding the reward and activating it are separate actions. You can review the current shop first, then decide when to start the window. For the reward source and activation walkthrough, see Pirate Shop Token basics and the step-by-step guide.
What you can claim
Most eligible Item Shop offers can be claimed without spending V-Bucks during the active window. The available catalog changes as the shop rotates; there is no permanent list of everything that will appear while your access is active. Check the offer shown in the game before you claim it.
For the current catalog, open the Fortnite Item Shop or view it in game. Our Item Shop today guide explains how to check the live offers without publishing a list that will quickly go stale.
Pirate Shop and the regular Item Shop
| Regular shop | During Pirate Shop access |
|---|---|
| Shows the current rotating offers. | Shows current offers with eligible free claims during the active window. |
| Availability changes with the live shop. | Availability still follows the live shop rotation. |
| Use the in-game price and claim controls. | Use the in-game eligibility and claim controls. |
The access period does not turn the shop into an archive. An item that is not currently shown is not automatically claimable just because it appeared in the past.
What happens when the 14 days end
When the active period ends, the special free-claim access is over. Items you successfully claimed are managed by your Fortnite account, while unclaimed offers are no longer part of that active window. Check the current game message for the exact status displayed for your access.
Do not expect the window to renew itself or rely on a page that promises an extension. If Epic changes the feature, the game and current Epic communications are the appropriate places to check.
Is the Pirate Shop live right now?
Availability depends on the current game version and any active Treasure Hunters access. We do not publish an end date or infer availability from old screenshots. Open Fortnite and check the Item Shop banner and reward prompt for your account.
Read the Treasure Hunters overview for season context and the scam guide if a third-party page asks you to pay or sign in.
